“Birth is about so much more than the wriggling of a tiny body out of a larger one. When we birth, we don’t just birth babies. We birth ourselves, we birth our families and we reshape our lives.”

Dr. Sara Wickham

Childbirth can be joyful, challenging, pleasurable, exhausting, spiritual, frustrating, and magical.

It is a teacher of surrender and trust.

Birth is one of the most transformative experiences of our lives, and it doesn’t need to be lonely. I’m here for you from the moment we first meet until you’re settled at home with your baby, and beyond.

Continuous, committed, connected, compassionate support for your whole being.

Your Birth,

Your Way

At the heart of Zygote Doula Services is a commitment to holistic, individualized care that nurtures both body and spirit. I believe that every person deserves support reflective of their unique journey, values, and needs. My goal is to create a safe environment where you can explore your options, voice your desires, and embrace your intuition.

Emotional and Mental Support

Pregnancy and birth can bring an immensity of emotions. I provide a compassionate ear and a steady presence, helping you welcome both the joys and the challenges that arise. I’ll support you in building confidence, fostering a resilience mindset, and cultivating a sense of peace as you prepare for this life-changing event.

Physical Support

I incorporate hands-on techniques, breathing methods, and movement strategies to alleviate discomfort through the birth experience. I teach a variety of coping skills to help you confidently navigate each labor surge. Whether it’s through self-hypnosis or an epidural, we’ll make sure you have the tools you need to meet the physical demands of birth.

Informational Support

Knowledge is a vital tool for empowerment. I provide both evidence-based information and traditional wisdom, so you can make informed decisions that resonate with your values. From exploring pain management options to discussing newborn medications, I’m here to provide clarity and support as you figure out the best plan for you and your family.

Birth is alchemy. It’s one of the most natural things we can do, and one of the most magical. Birth is love, embodied.

When left alone, the majority of births don’t need medical intervention. Birthing people often enter an otherworldly state of mind, “labor land,” where time drifts away. Baby and body communicate, and intuition reigns.

We frequently hear that birth is scary and painful, and while that can be true, it’s not everyone’s experience. What other stories can we tell? What if we learned that birth is full of power, that our bodies know just what to do, and that on the other side of pain (through trust, surrender, and relaxation) is transcendence?

I have studied birth pleasure and love exploring its many facets with my clients. Inviting pleasure into your labor space may be as simple as cozying up with a soft blanket or sinking into the warm water of a bath. Or it could include cuddles, kisses, vibrators, and sex - amplifying the circulation of oxytocin helps everything FLOW.

I also know that labor can be long, intense, and deeply challenging. If you plan to welcome an epidural, I support you! If your vision is to go without, but things change along the way, I’ll be right there with you.

Whatever your path entails, you deserve to be fully seen and heard throughout. You can count on me to show up for you with immense respect, deep understanding, and the utmost care. I will walk alongside you as you traverse the greatest labyrinth, bringing new life into our world.

My Philosophy

I love supporting families who are intentional about their reproductive journeys. Those who are drawn toward ceremony, ritual, and reflectionwho want to co-create experiences that reflect themselves and their values. I feel most aligned with clients who:

  • trust themselves and their bodies

  • appreciate the sacrality of birth

  • intentionally prepare for birth as a rite of passage and a portal into parenthood

  • view birth as an opportunity for transformation

  • hold healthy skepticism of the medical system

  • want to discover the fullness of their strength, power, and love ♡

I invite you to reach out and share your story with me. Together, we can create a nourishing space where your voice is heard, your journey is honored, and your power flows.
